Paintbox Fine Art is a commercial art gallery located in the centre of Canberra, Australia's capital city. We also operated a branch in London during 2007. We represent established artists from around Australia, many of whom have won or been finalists in prestigious national art competitions. We exhibit impressionist, figurative, realist and abstract paintings and drawings suitable for corporate and private collections.
Paintbox offers a warm and welcoming environment in which to appreciate and acquire original artworks. Directors Steve and Anne Watson believe that the viewing and purchasing of art should be both accessible and enjoyable. Our exhibitions change each month and stock paintings are also changed frequently. Artists are selected for their talent, dedication and skill and the vision that makes their work unique.
Prominent amongst the artists Paintbox exhibits are five émigré Chinese who settled in Australia in the wake of Tianenmen Square in 1989 and have brought a new vigor to artistic life in Australia.
Paintbox directors attend and exhibit at art fairs in Sydney, Melbourne, London, Asia, Europe and USA.
